The Development Of Accelerators In The View Of Technical Innovation

There are little in the research of science & technology on the development of experimental instruments that are very important in the process of science now,especially in China.The special rules which lie in the development and evolution of experiment instruments that incarnate the ways of reference and naturalization in the design skills ,ideas and instruments innovation.It is necessary that the dissertation try to analyse and discover the rules of technical innovation on accelerators as the representation of experimental instruments in high-energy physics in the new view of science & technology history research for modern science is making rapid progress.The way of technical innovation is used to analyse the history on the accelerator development in the dissertation for the special rule of accelerator technical innovation on the base of the research that has existed.The physics history is not only the history when some physical genius created some new physical concepts,so we must think much of experimental instruments action in the physics history.I believe that we can understand more exactly the physical history by the analysis on experimental instruments than in the past.The dissertation is divided into six parts:Part one offers a brief review on the action of experimental instruments in the physics histiory,for example telescopes in Galileo era,optical microscopes in modern times and high-energy accelerators in the research of particles physics.Part two analyzes technical orbit of the development of accelerators,mainly on the early situations and three magnitude technical innovation.Part three expounds the specialties of accelerators technical innovation,especially on the type of technical innovation and the relation between technical innovation and products life periods.Part four discusses accelerators development and society,focusing on the relation between accelerators development and technical revolution,between accelerators development and industrial revolution,analyzing the social appliciations of accelerators.Part five analyze accelerators and national innovation system,focusing on influences that national innovation system brings to accelerators and the situations that accelerators develop in future.Part six discusses accelerators and China,focusing on the situations that accelerators develop in China and countermeasures that China should take in the domain.The creative work of this thesis is to bring technical innovation concept into the research of physical experimental instruments history,especially to analyze accelerators history in a new view.
