The durability of RC(reinforced concrete) and PC(prestressed concrete) bridge is concerned by all people since near semicentennial. Because of the facts of concrete structure materials and used environment, very severe problems occurred in concrete structure. The related information in domestic and overseas indicate that, the economy loss due to concrete structure durability disease is enormous, also along with environment variance and function demand improved, structure durability becomes more and more severe.According to the research on concrete bridge structure durability, on the one hand, can scientifically evaluate the durability and remnant life of the existing concrete bridge, to decide the correct dispose method, on the other hand, will be beneficial to the durability design of the new project. So, the research on concrete bridge will not only be propitious to the general use of the existing structure, but also can direct the durability design of the new build bridges. To this problem, this paper makes a summary of the predecessors' research product, explores the research on durability of concrete bridge, and the actual work done is as follows:1. A particular description of the background, significance, major content and general methods of concrete bridge durability studies is presented in this paper, and makes a summary of the research progress of concrete bridge in the recent 10 years. The status in quo of the durability research of concrete bridge is presented in three levels of material, element, and structure.2. Expatiate the basic theory, merit and demerit of the several existing methods of the durability evaluation of concrete bridge, and probe into its connotation and developing direction about the durability evaluation of concrete bridge. This paper analyses the several major factors in concrete bridge, selects different evaluation index, and put forward several major method to improve the durability of concrete bridge.3. In addition, the author set up a assessment of concrete bridge durability applying fuzzy theory, Based on the multilayer analysis, this method builds functions that describe the subjection degree of all factors to all factors to all grades of durability. Then this method takes the weight of all factors into account and applies the most subjection criterion to get the grade of durability of concrete bridge.4. According to comparing the actual test result of the bridge spans GuangShen railway with the result of fuzzy evaluation, it evaluates the durability of the bridge, also the result is believable, so it is utility.5. At last, this paper combined with part technique measures of Hangzhou bay bridge structure durability design, expatiate the importance and major content of structure durability design.
