The traditional method of analysis of RC structure is based on experiential formula, which are concluded from large numbers of experiments. With that experimental formula, many complex factors are ignored. The domain of RC structure is evidently enlarging in recent years, so more precise analyses are needed for engineering practice. This paper thoroughly explains the constitutive equations and failure criteria under multiaxial stress state. Models and methods of the nonlinear analysis are introduced in this paper also. Program is complied under gridding partition method to calculate the special-shaped column. In this program, the declining segment of the stress-strain relation of the concrete, the restriction effect of hooped reinforcement and the bond-slip problem of the reinforcement are considered, as the same time the optimized arithmetic is applied to accelerate calculation procedure. Though the appropriate experiment arrangement, the influential factor such as the strength of concrete, the ratio of hooped reinforcement, the ratio of axial compression and the loading angle are researched, some available rules of carrying ability and ductility of the special-shaped column can be attained. Program under the finite element method is also compiled in this paper; the nonlinear-elastic model of concrete and the smeared-cracking model are adopted in this program. Though comparing with the experiment results, the precision of that program is satisfactory. So that program is a good complement to some popular general propose finite element code. At last, general propose finite element code ANSYS is adopted, with comparing the different material models that ANSYS provide, it is find that using multilinear kinematic hardening model can acquire good results, so the example in the paper is recalculated using multilinear kinematic hardening model in ANSYS.
