With the quickly development of highway, many highway have to be built on the soft soil ground because of limitation of geographical condition .According to many built highway data, the deformation after construction should not be ignored. Especially to high-grade highway, because its deformation value permitted is limited strictly, its deformation after construction will hurt the normal traffic condition. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the deformation and predict the settlement value. It is also greatly significant to analyze components and influence factors of earthfill deformation on soft soill ground, and to establish suitable settlement prediction methods. Two main components of afer-construction settlement on soft soil earthfill,after-construction settlement of soft soil foundation and settlement of eathfill ,are firstly analyzed, their formation reason and influence factors then are also analyzed respectively. There are lots of uncertainty many factors to predict after-construction in the conventional method. The prediction settlement value after construction often are greatly different from the in-situ teat value because there are lots of uncertainty. After-construction settlement predction method based on in-situ test data can get the result only by analyzing in-situ test data and curve simulation. By basing on improvement to preceding Exponential-curve method, Hyperbola method, Possion-curve method ,according to the minimum average difference principle, corresponding computer programme are made out. Its can automatically make choice among the three methods. It is proved that the method can come to satifatory prediction result.
