Adaptive relaying is a currently researching project all over the world.This paper concentrates on the behaviour of adaptive current fast-trip protection in distribution power system that operates under all types o f conditions .It deeply studies the performance of adaptive current fast-trip protection when it's used on single-circuit two-terminal line with a source at each end, on double-circuit two-terminal line with a source at one end and on double-circuit two-terminal line with a source at each end. On the base of this ,the paper makes it clear the inherent character of the adaptive current fast-trip protection, and draws common conclusions about its behaviour in distribution power system network .All conclusions in the paper have been proved theoretically with numerous simulating experiments.
