| A windowless double MCP proximity single framing camera is introduced and the camera is used to detect the soft x-ray radiated by capillary discharge Z-pinch plasma. The camera is composed of proximity tube and its controller and controller is an important part affecting the camera performance. At first, the paper introduced its work principle and configuration, then illustrated the approachs to control electrons pass and the characteristics of double proximity image intensifier. The spectrum(25-50nm) will be detected and in the band there is not appropriate window material, so a windowless configuration is applied. The paper places an stress on development of controller, because the performance of pulse circuit is affected mainly by the switch device, here made a contrast to usual switch devices and introduced the work principle, characteristics and choice principle of avalanche transistors, and then introduced the curcuit of gating pulse generator, showed the tested pulse form.The camera has a temporal resolution of less than 5ns, a static spatial resolution of 25Lp/mm and a dynamic spatial resolution of 7Lp/mm. The controller has an intrinsic delay time of less than 15ns and 0.5ns time jitter. The gating pulse width is decided by discharge cable length.Then, the paper introduced some applied fields about the single frame camera and the setup and work principle of capillary discharge soft x-ray laser. In addition, it can be also used some other fields, that is fluorescence lifetime imaging(FLIM), lidar imaging, x-ray diagnosis and so on.Finally, the paper introduced all kinds of multi-framing camera and their characteristics, discussed mainly the work principle, specificities and key techniques of microstripline imagers drived by gate pulse. |
