With the rapid improvement of modern electronic and PC technology, the demand of large capacity date storage device and high performance indicator such as large capacity HDD, LCD, light driver, increases. Many environmental adaptation problems arise such as how to protect these wearing precise motion parts to suit the formidable war-ship conditions. Increaseing these precise parts' ability of anti-vibration and anti-shock through vibration isolator is the general method.A comprehensive and deep investigation of small vibration isolator is developed in this paper for the dual demand of resisting violent impact and attenuating vibration in vibration-impact protection of electronic-information equipment. Research and design the rubber vibration isolator through theoretical analyses and experiments, and the final design version can pass the military screen-sizing test. Filling up the void item of the light-load such as fewer than 4N in the world extent can use the small vibration isolator militarily and civilly.Firstly, this vibration isolation system can be simplified to a single-degree-of-freedom system, then discussing the vibration isolation and anti-shock axiom and their mechanical mould. At last definite the design index: the service behavior index and the physical dimension index.Secondly the paper focuses on the conceptual design of the vibration isolator. We firstly define the main parameters of the vibration isolator design and then optimize through MATLAB, then choose the right material. Thus the first version of the design is put out and. the vibration isolation response curve is got by experiments. Based on the first version, two improved design versions are put out. The better version is to test shock index and other environmental experiments, such as high and low temperature. This final version can meet all the challenges of military index.At last, the paper presented the integrated virtual design software of the vibration isolator design. This is a new design method of vibration isolator. This software can optimizes conceptual design before the real tests by virtual experiments and thus shorten the design period.
