With the development of industry and the improvement of people's lives,industry wastewater and domestic sewage that exceed the national drainage standard drain into water,the widespread use of chlorinated hydrocarbons trichlorothene and perchlorothene (TCE and PCE) as cleansing solvents and their accidental and illegal emission into the environment has led to a serious pollution of groundwater resources all over the world .Conventional technologies for a removal of those contaminants e.g. coagulation-flocculation -settling-filtering-disinfection, only transfer the pollutants from the water into another phase. In contrast to the conventional processes, the oxidation technologies (especially Advanced Oxidation Processes,AOPs) convert the micropollutants to harmless substances.The mechanism of Advanced Oxidation Processes is based on the formation of hydroxyl radical(?OH) and degredation of pollutants into carbon dioxide and water subsequently.The hydroxyl radical has strong oxidation ability,which can degrade trace organic compounds of water directly into H2O and CO2.It reduces the quantity of organics instead of accumulating or converting. It is a mineralization process without second pollution to the drinking water. This paper is researched the main applications of H2O2/O3 Advanced Oxidation Processes in the treatment of Hanjiang for drinking water production.Hydrogen/Ozone is an advanced treatment that is extensively studied home and abroad. Hydrogen or ozone is one of the most strongest oxidants,because they can generate much of hydroxyl radical(?OH). Hydrogen or ozone can decompose organic substance,which are hard to be degreaded. Experiment with Hydrogen/ozone peroxidation was tested in a laboratory scale reactor and s pilot scale spot for treatment of HanJang micropollutant water.The aim of the H2O2/O3 Advanced Oxidation Processes peroxide was the removal of the odor,color,organic matters,turbidity,alga and bacteria. The result of the research show:contrast three kinds of situation ,Pre-oxidation Hangjiang river water with H2O2/O3 was bettwer than with H2O2 or O3 for the organic matter be degraded ,And cut down to pass through the remaining amount of H2O2 to avoid affecting follow chlorine disinfect effect,along with decreased O3's the amount to be used.the process of H2O2/O3 is very effecitive on the removal of color and odor,correspondingly CODMn,TOC and UV254 can be removal by a certain degree.Usually, Hydrogen/ozone peroxidation of water leads to the elimination of mineral compounds,color,turbidity and suspended solids,bad tastes and odors.in addition this step partly degrades nature organic matter and inactivates micro-organisms,also aid to coagulation-flocculation and filtering process,intend to degrade toxic micropollutants and disinfection.After hydrogen/ozone peroxidation,the tape water of HanJiang quality improves obviously and meets the drinking water standard,in addition,the application of this process is also economically feasible.
