Networked Control System (NCS) is an integration of networking communication technology and cybernetic theoretic. An NCS connects the controllers, the sensors and the actuators through one shared networking to form feedback control loops. In the past few years, as the rapid growth appears in the field of industrial automatics, navigation technology and aerospace science, the study of NCS has drawn more and more eyes of the researchers'. Uncertain delays are inserted into NCS loop by the shared networking, and thus makes it hard to apply traditional analytical methodology to an NCS. So it's both rewarding academically and practically to study the philosophy behind NCS. This thesis does some research works in the following facets around the networking-induced delay in NCS.First, it reviews formal work which including NCS modeling, time-delay evaluation and compensation, stability analysis, optimal stochastic control theoretics, sample time scheduling, controller design and QoS adaption etc. Then proposed its main work.Second, it proposes one viewpoint that Ï„sc and Ï„ca are NOT equal to the systemand proves it by building a multi-delay model of NCS. This model also helps to deduce a new sufficient condition to ensure the stability of NCS based on Lyapunov theoretics.Third, a Matlab/Simulink simulation platform is built to be used as tools in this thesis, and an experiment platform based on real Ethernet is built for future study. At last, it proposed a design methodology of an adaptive fuzzy NCS contrller based on bandwidth engrossing rate. During this work, it compares a fuzzy logic controller with a PD controller in various time-delay environments. Then it constructs a function between the bandwidth engrossing rate and the stochastic distribution model of network-induced delay. And this function is used to propose this design methodology.
