Along with the development of science and technology of construction, great progress has been made in the construct of the high buildings. China is a multi-seismic country, so it has been suffering greatly during long-term earthquake disasters, it had influenced the development of the high buildings in some sense. Modern control theory is an effective measure which to be used to reduce the seismic response of the high buildings at the present time. In order to make up the deficiency in the practicability and economy of classical TMD(Tuned Mass Dampers) and AMD(Active Mass Dampers), ITMD(Intelligent Tuned Mass Dampers) is brought forword as a new semi-active control device in this paper. It has the merit of the passive control device and the active control device, so it has a wide foreground to be used.In this paper, the defection in the seismic response control of TMD is analysed, the principium of the Magnetorheological damper is introduced and the ways of the seismic response control of the high buildings is expatiated. Based on which ITMD control device is made up through replace the damper of TMD by the Magnetorheological damper, which is the control device of the seismic response of the architectures.Through the academic analysis of the state equation of ITMD control device, theNewmark- β method and the method integral way by way of linear system areintroduced. Improved semi-active control strategy is put forward based on the control strategy which was advanced in the past. In the paper Himilton-Ponteryakn formula is deduced, through which the design principle of the optimal control device is analysed. Instantaneous Optimal Control algorithm and Linear Quadratic Regulator algorithm are contrasted. To optimize the position of the sensors and the driving devices, we deduce the optimal position formula of given sensors and driving devices. In the end, the problem of time lag is analysed and compensation scheme is put out.
