| Today the engine researchers and engineers have to face two social problems which are the energy crisis and environment pollution. Comparing to the general gasoline engine the lean burn engine have large A/F, and high compression ratio, and low burn temperature. The lean bum engine is more efficient and clean than the general engine. But for the large A/F, the lean burn engine have a unsolved problem since it was invented. In order to enlarge the A/F and make sure stable ignition this paper put forward a new combustion system. It make a ignition chamber in the cylinder head and place a injector behind the ignition chamber. The injector spout out several pockets gasoline to the chamber and one of them is directed to the ignition chamber to make sure thick mixture for ignition easily. By this way the mixture thickness is kept easily in the ignition chamber all the time. When the mixture is burned and expanded out from the ignition chamber as torches the gasoline will be burned more entirely than ever before. This paper carried on the transformation to the 2100 disel engine, and made it become a SI lean burn ignition chamber engine, and carried on a series of experiments. Through the research of different ignition chamber volume, inject holes' diameter and compression ratio, the paper draw the conclusions as followed: the ignition chamber system can work stably under the A/F more than 48,and can speed up the combustion process. The lowest rotate speed is 400r/min, and the emission is satisfied with the national emission regulation. |
