The CAE technology and optimization technology in the manufacturing industry of the automobile were more and more extensive, In this article in order to get good economic benefits the author combined CAE technology and method of optimizing to carry on optimization design to the passenger train bodywork.In this article,the author analysed the development of CAE in the bus industry, introduced the theory of FEA and relevant knowledge of the optimization method, and did research on the model of the bus chassis that suffered load, and simplified the spring to FEA model..The author used ANSYS software to create a parameter model for the bodywork of the passenger train, and carried on simplification to the finite element model in the course of modeling .Four kinds of typical working conditions that happened to the passenger bus frame were included. Also the article carried on the modal analysis of the passenger bus bodywork . After analysing various kinds of data synthetically, the author set up the equation of optimizing, To choose the weight of the passenger train to be the goal function,the deformation and the stress to be the restrain condition ,and the sectional size of the frame to be variable of optimizing. During the optimization design,the author used APDL. and obtained optimization design parameter. Then the author carried on the contrast to the result that before and after optimizing, found that the result of optimizing was satisfying, The weight of the bus bodywork was reduced,at the same time the security of the bus was guaranteed. At last ,the author analysed the effect of the mass to the vehicle.
