The fatigue damage of the metal material often happens under the action of the dynamic load. The accumulation of fatigue damage of the metal material leads to the result of surface fatigue cracks. There are a lot of traditional methods of NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) to the formed crack. But these methods are mostly very difficult to realize the on-line real-time supervising the crack being formed. At present a large number of researches indicate that the surface of metal material while the crack forms, can be emitted massive low energy electrons.The aim is to accurately examine the number of low energy electrons launched from metal material surface that the intelligent low energy electron sensor system has been discussed in this dissertation. And on the basis of above work, the formation and the production of metal material crack can be studied and analyzed. Therefore, it has the vital scientific significance and the application value to the metal material NDT that author has been engaged in this research work..The key study contents in the dissertation are as follows:1. The low energy electron launch mechanism, the domestic and foreign research survey and the tendency, as well as the application of the low energy electron in the field of NDT were briefly introduced.2. The intelligent low energy electron sensor system principle of work, the specific request to the electronic control circuit of double grid air counter, each part of circuits design in electronic control circuit have been discussed.3. The hardware and software design methods of the counter interface circuit were put forward. And the circuit debugging has been carried on.The experimental result indicates that the pre-amplification circuit, the main amplification circuit, the quenching circuit and the suppression circuit in the electronic control circuit conform to the design requirement. The interface circuit work of the counter is simple and reliable. The work that the dissertation engaged in has laid the good foundation for the intelligence of low energy electron sensor system.The dissertation has received the subsidy of the National Natural Science Found of China (50275125) and the Aviation Science Found of China (04153068).
