. Since parallel machine tool was invented in 1990s, parallel Mechanism has become a very pop research field and a focus of mechanism subject. Parallel mechanism moves in three-dimensional space . Because not only its kinematics calculation is very complicated but also the workspace is difficult to image, the proper model must be set up and simulated in order to realize the visualization of the movement of parallel mechanism. As there are a kind of structures of parallel mechanism, the different users need develop simulation software by themselves. It makes the periods long. So It is necessary to develop a platform for kinematics simulation to fit for different. In this paper there is deep study to the realization of simulation platform of parallel mechanism. Its main content is as follow:based on the design idea of open and modularization the platform was developed in Visual C++ used OpenGL. It shows the surface in Window. In the platform the corresponding simulation software was developed.For the difference of parallel s part library and parallel mechanism library are set up. By transferring the parts' models the parallel mechanism in parallel mechanism library was set up. Users also can select and modify the mechanism parameters in a intelligent and human-computer interface. Making use of simulation modules to do motion simulation for the selected parallel mechanism It can show the movement characters of different parameters from which whether the design is reasonable can be judged. If the parallel mechanism can not fit for the conditions, thealert function can indicate it. Parts library and parallel mechanism library is open to users, and the users can append other parallel mechanism in need. For the request of NC machining the tool track can be input in the G codes wayIn this paper there are analysis, calculation and simulation modeling to 2-DOF and 3D0F parallel translation mechanism. Kinematics simulation experiment was validated with the platform.
