Research on wind field around tall buildings is important to improve city building wind environment, raise the comfort for residence, and control the air pollution problem. It is very difficult for the wind field around tall buildings to carry on the spot measure actually, wind tunnel experiment is also difficult to applied extensively in engineering practicality, but simulate wind field around tall buildings expediently making use of computer simulation technique, gained wind velocity and wind pressure distribution, with this predict good and bad of the city planning and designing, and put forward the improving project, make design more reasonable, raise the quality and efficiencies of design. In this paper, the actual high building is simulated based on FLUENT, taking the square pillar model as the researching object, adopting the subarea scheme to partition computational area, handling the near wall faces with the standard wall function method, using the standard k- ε the model and the Realizable k- s the model to compute the steady wind flow field the of the planar single body and two adjacent tall building, for the sake of analyzing wind velocity, wind pressure and turbulence kinetic energy, discussing the influence of space between two adjacent tall building on the wind environment characteristic. To verifying Numerical simulation of wind field around tall buildings, the wind tunnel experiment is still carried on, and the experiment result is compared with the numerical simulation result. The results show that both the standard k- s model and the Realizable k- e mode both can simulate the distribute rule, and similar, in certain accord with experiment results as a result.
