The traditional front mortar has worse workability, low bending strength, large shrinkage and more cracks. The methods of solving these problems from the point of material and construction are put forward. Namely, α-polymer, organic fiber, flying ash and superplasticiser are used to modify the traditional mortar. It improves the bonding strength of front mortar and decreases the shrinkage ratio of mortar, and also increases the property of crack-resistance greatly. Therefore, the cracks in mortar would be in control and the life of mortar would be improved.In this paper, firstly, the evaluation index of front mortar is put forward by the theoretical analysis. And then the influence of α -polymer, organic fiber and flying ash on the physical properties and mechanical properties (including the compress strength, the flexural strength, the ratio of the flexural strength to the compress strength, the shrinkage ratio) of mortar are researched systemically by lots of experiment. Thus the rational rate of crack-resistance front mortar is designed. In the end of the paper, the crack-resistance mechanism of α -polymer, organic fiber and flying ash are studied by SEM analysis.The crack-resistance mortar is developed via lots of studies. Compared with traditional mortar, this new type crack-resistance mortar has better performance of workability, construction, bonding strength, the flexural strength, the ratio of the flexural strength to the compress strength and the shrinkage ratio. The bonding strength and crack-resistance of mortar is the important content of this paper.
