The dissertation established numerical methods in the analysis of linear fracture mechanics on the basis of Boundary Element Method(BEM). For a two-dimensional problem one may use single-noded constant elements, two-noded linear elements, three-noded quadratic elements or even cubic or higher order elements with four or more nodes. The coefficients are studied carefully, and procedures are worked out using machine language Fortran 90. The examples given have proved the advantage of the Boundary Element Method. In the analysis of the fracture mechanics using Boundary Element Method, the calculation model of one-quarter singular element has been established, and has been proved its validity. The main purpose of the dissertation is to introduce the concept of "generalized parameter" to the Boundary Element Method. The concept of "generalized parameter" has been used in the Finite Element Method(FEM),and its accuracy and the efficiency had been proven than the common Finite Element Method. The introduction of the concept of generalized parameter" to the Boundary Element Method is a creativework, and it is worth to do more research work on it. It can be expected that more satisfied results can be got.
