The voltage and inactive power control of substations have become necessary measures to ensure the voltage quality and inactive power balance and improve the reliability and economy of power system. According to the problems existing in the running state of substation voltage and inactive power control device, this thesis presents that through the optimization of power system inactive power, the control device makes the grid active power loss least during regulation, and consequently the economy of control device regulation has been ensured. On the other hand, during the regulation of control device, it is necessary to coordinate the effect of voltage and inactive power to ensure the reliability and precision of action.The problem of power system inactive power optimization is the problem of discrete nonlinearity programming. The combination of the loaded regulable transformer discontinuous wiper and the inactive power compensation capacitance switching belongs to discrete variable. General inactive power optimization means is to make the discrete variable continuous. After optimization the variable will be rounded to integer, but this rounding way may bring new over-range circumstances and make the variable no answer. So, the author introduces the following way. At first using the Primal-dual interior point algorithm completes inactive power optimization. Then the optimization results can be rounded by genetical algorithm. In order to simplify the computation of adaptable degree function, a sensitivity analysis has been adopted. At last, the expected in-side inactive power value is achieved. The difference of the expected value and the actual value is used as objective function of substation voltage and inactive power control device regulation, and the genetical algorithm is employed as control strategy to regulate the loaded...
