Under the condition of resources of water is increasingly nervous currently, it has been an inevitable development trend that the dilute wet ash changes into condensed wet ash in the power station hydrotransport system. In this paper the water using in the condensed wet ash hydrotransport system of the power station is analyzed in detail, and the key technique of the water saving in hydrotransport is found out. Then the solid characteristics and slurry characteristics of the fly ash are discussed, and for the very first time the concept about the stability and instability of the slurry is putted forward. On this basis the relations among the piping characteristic, solid characteristic and the slurry characteristic which affected resistance loss in hydrotransport is analyzed systematically, and the multi-factor analyzing method on main factors that influence resistance loss of wet ash transportation system is employed to find the sensitivities of various factors on resistance loss, finding out the degree which have influenced. On the basis of this, a new method is proposed to predict resistance loss for setting condensed slurry flow, and a hydraulic gradient formula is obtainded. By wide experimental confirmation, the method is proved to be correct and feasible.
