With the increasing of the height of the high-rise buildings, the buffeting response becomes more flexible and more instensive. It induced by wind plays an important role in structure dynamic analysis. Although the analysis process in frequency domain is not complex, it is not applicable to the nonlinearity of the structures. Because there are more random attributions with construction and wind loads, it is appropriate and effective to use the method of time domain analysis to study on the wind-induced vibration property of the high-rise structure. The buffeting of high-rise structure can be analyzed in both frequency domain and in time domain. Compared with the analysis in frequency domain, the analysis in time domain can simulate time history .It also can respond to the influence of the structure which is non-linear and to the influence of the relativity of the wind-loads.Naturally, the accuracy of buffeting analysis lies on the buffeting force spectrum and the model of the structure. In addition, the analysis process in the time domain also includes the simulation of turbulence fields that can transfer the force spectrum to force time history. Based on random vibration and up-to-date buffeting theory in the time domain and the domestic and international previous research works of the same field, the buffeting time domain analysis of the high-rise structure and some relevant works are further studied in this thesis. The major works presented in the paper are stated as following:1. The chimney and water tower of Baoshan Iron and Steel Plant is the truss structure, so the wind load is comparatively compliated. The wind load coefficient and structure can not be got from the national building code of China and other references. By the model test of wind tunnel, the wind static coeffient of the chimney and water tower is acquiced and accordingly the wind static load on the chimney is caculated.2. Basing on the theories of the structure wind vibration and analysis of power spectrum of wind, some calculation formulas of the response, the along-wind response and the cross-wind reponse of the chimney and water tower structure are obtained and use ANSYS6.1 to calculate the structure's behaviour of...
