Study On Parameters Of Isolation Layer On RC Framed Structures

The base isolation is one of the effective ways for engineer structure used to resist earthquakes. The isolation layer is set between the base and the upper structure. By reducing earthquake energy the upper structure and its inside devices will be effectively protected.The diversification of the isolation layer has great effect on dynamic characteristic and dynamic response, so how to set parameters of isolation layer such as the elastic stiffness of the isolation layer and the subdued proportion has directly effect on the isolated structure. In this thesis how to set the parameters of the isolation layer is studied.In this thesis , one six-storey framed structure and two seven-storey framed structure are studied. The mechanical model of the whole structure is the story-shear model, the superstructure uses the elastic model, meantime the rubber base isolated system uses the bilinear resilience model.Then the nonlinear time-history program for rubber base isolated structure is worked out using Matlab language.According to the code for seismic design of buildings , the effect of the isolated structure is compared by studying the displacement of isolation layer on condition of unusual earthquake â…§(400gal) and the proportion of the storey shearing force on condition of ususl earthquake â…§(70gal).How to choose the parameters of the isolation layer is different when the site classification is inequable.
