| The improvement of product design process is the key to shorten the lead time (T), enhance the product quality (Q), lower the cost (C) and improve the service (S), then makes enterprise more competitive. One effective approach to improve product design process is to enhance the efficiency and effectivity of evaluation method for alternative in product design process. The evaluation is a complex and dynamic process, and it will decide the product's prospect. Based on a wide exploration of present achievements and developing trend in the fields of product design model and alternative evaluation, this dissertation makes a research on evaluation method for alternative in product design process using fuzzy AHP and utility theory.There are six chapters in this dissertation, which includes the study of product design model for each process stage, the corresponding theory of alternative evaluation and the development of supporting software.Chapter one analyses the improvement of product design process is key factor for enhancing the TQCS in new economy era. After survey of the present achievements and developing trend in design process and evaluation methods, indicates the research meaning, purpose and main content of this dissertation.Chapter two reviews the present product design models and alternative methods, then contrasts them respectively. Finally, puts forward the framework of evaluation model of product design process.Chapter three analyses the product conceptual design stage, decomposes the conceptual design objective based on additive independence and whether find solution for objective easily or not, then forms the cascade structure of design objective. After gets directive values from alternatives for conceptual design, builds up the evaluation hierarchy system and evaluates the alternatives using fuzzy AHP. Finally, gives an example to illustrate how to use this model in conceptual design.Chapter four parses the detailed design stage, especially structure design stage, then studies the relation between conceptual design and structure design or parameter design. After that, evaluates the solution using utility theory. At last, example is given to illustrate how to use this model in structure design.Chapter five analyses the software function demanding and its architecture, then develops a computer aided prototype system for alternative evaluation in product design process based on web.In chapter six, the important results and conclusions of the dissertation are summarized and the prospect of the research is opened up. |
