The torpedo-tracking system based on GSM/GPS by developing microcontroller is an electronic system which can tracks the motive object by integrating with measurement, communication and data collection . Taking advantage of the existing GSM it transmits the orientation of the motive object through sending the short message of the GPS data. In contrast with the idea of connecting the separate functional modules like measurement, data collection, communication, control and so forth, this system design is directed by making all kinds of modules integrate into one apparatus or one circuit board, even one chip. To do so can enhance the system stability, minish the size, cut down the power utilization and save the electricity. As the fast development of the computer technology ,The MC3 Integration (Measurement , Control, Communication , Collection) will be the trend of independent apparatus ,especially in the remote sensing area .The key to this system and the main problem is interface developing for the short message service (SMS) .The short message developing includes the client data zone encoding and decoding ,the communication mode setting and testing online , the receiving and transmitting of short messages ,and the match of the key command word of the data transceiving .They are this article's emphasis .This article first gives the idea of the theory of using the existing GSM to track the motive object via the GPS system, secondly gives the idea of the way to implement and the composing and last describes the hardware and software of the system.
