As a seepage prevention building material, the advantages of plastic concrete have been recognized by people with its application in a large number of dike constructions being more and more wide at home and abroad. Accordingly, the research of the mixture's performance and the physical and mechanical properties of hardened plastic concrete attracts more and more attention. On the base of plenty of experiments, this thesis went deep into the systems analysis of the research of the material properties of plastic concrete combining the characteristic of plastic concrete. The main content includes:(1) The working performance of plastic concrete mixture has great influence on the characteristic of hardened concrete and it directly determines on the degree of construction difficulties. This thesis draws the influence rule of different quantities of primary material, test conditions and test operation to the working performance of plastic concrete mixture according to contrastive tests.(2) On the base of tests, two kinds of measuring methods adopting different standard distance of the elastic modulus of plastic concrete have been analyzed and a more reasonable method has been found. According to contrastive tests of different primary material and test conditions, this thesis has analyzed the influencing factors of the elastic modulus of plastic concrete in details and has drawn the influencing rule of each factor to the elastic modulus of plastic concrete.(3) According to the experience gained in traditional penetrating tests, this thesis has produced a high-pressure clay permeameter and discussed the instrument's testing principle, measuring method and derivation of the calculation formula in details. Meanwhile, plenty of testing research has been done by taking an example for the permeability coefficient measuring of plastic concrete and the influencing factors of tests to the permeability coefficient of plastic concrete measured by this instrument have been analyzed.(4) This thesis has discussed the evaluation of permeability resistance and the methods of permeability coefficient and destructive permeability gradient. The thesis also has analyzed the reasons leading to penetrating of plastic concrete and the influencing factors to the permeability resistance of plastic concrete in details and has drawn the influencing rule of each primary material and its quantity to the permeability resistance of plastic concrete.(5) By the measuring of compressive strength of 28 days and 90 days, split-tensile strength of 28 days and shear strength of 28 days to plastic concrete, the influencing factors of each material's quantity to the strength of plastic concrete have been analyzed in details.(6) This thesis has detailedly introduced the application of plastic concrete in the cut-off wall of Xiduancun reservoir in the water lifting project of Yellow River in Huaiba Sanmenxia. And, great exploration and research have been made in such aspects as processing technique, construction technology, construction quality control of plastic concrete.
