Machine tools, especially the Numerical Control (NC) machine tools, is a kind of mechanic electronic product which is integrated with machine manufacturing technology, computer technology, fluid drive technology, air drive technology, modern testing technology, information processing technology and artificial intelligence etc. It is characterized by high efficiency, quality and flexibility and suits future manufacturing requirements. NC machine tools is the key equipments of product line almost in every enterprise, if the faults happens and no maintenance service is on time, its long time out of working will lead to a great loss. This requires the enterprises produced those machine tools providing rapid faults diagnosis service, flexible maintenance service and technical supports. Along with the development of network technology, remote fault diagnosis and service system (RFDSS) can resolve the problem well. This paper comes from the practical research project of Guizhou Xianfeng Machine Tools factory assumed by Chongqing University, according to the reality of Guizhou Xianfeng machine tools factory at present, requirements of related engineers and combined with present situation of remote fault diagnosis technology, this paper deals with RFDSS and its several related key technologies. At first, this paper is analyzed the system framework, system network structure and system software platform from the whole system structure of the RFDSS. And then this paper studies the signal analyze and fault diagnosis child system of RFDSS, the child system contains two different components, one is signal sampling, analyzing and preprocessing system, the other is fault diagnosis expert system. The content of this study in the former component is the theories, theoretical arithmetic and its realities of signal sampling technology, signal processing technology and signal filter technology, while the content of this study in the later is theories, theoretical arithmetic and its realities of fault diagnosis technology base on the artificial neural network and illuminated by the true samples. And the last part of this paper illuminates the integrated design and child system design of RFDSS according to basic design criterion of software engineering; the content of this design includes division of the function modules and the child system, design of flow chart of the child system and its implements. The practical running of the RFDSS can raise fault diagnosis and its related service level and related information management level, and it can improve enterprise image from the view of some meanings, and it has very important and positive effect for continuous development of the enterprise.
