In recent years, Electromagnetic nondestructive testing on the quality of metal material has been studied and acquired a great deal of achievements as for many merits of nondestructive, convenient and fast. However there are many problems in the testing of hardness and cracks, and mess problem of work pieces. As a result, the tendency of NDT is the research of effective, intelligent and fast device. According to the research production of pattern recognition, neural network and computer technology, on the basis of characteristic parameters taken out of WGQ-268 electromagnetic nondestructive testing instrument, we established an arithmetic model about quality test for steel and iron, integrated pattern recognition method and developed intelligent network system, we performed quality test for hardness of 65Mn bearing steel and the result is satisfactory. In addition, The paper describes the design thought, inspection principle of the intelligent electromagnetic nondestructive testing system, introduces the whole design procedure of analogue system, digital system and software system. And then this paper introduces the language C51, which is taken Keil C as to develop the tool, have solved the problem of developing advanced algorithm software of Electromagnetic-NDT Instrument. Experimental result shows that using C51 language can weave the procedure in quickly and efficiently and realize the advanced algorithm and shorten the instrumental the period of development.
