Product scheme design is a key stage to its innovation. Research in product scheme design is always an advanced subject of Computer Integrated Manufacture System (CIMS). Supported by National Science Foundation of China and National High-Tech Research and Development Program of China ("863"), some key techniques of product scheme design are researched with some theories, such as extenics theory, etc.At first, paper introduces the elementary theory of ethnics, and combines with the popular knowledge-representation. It analyzes the element-representation of predicates and production rules, extension semantic network and the extenics representation of frame. It also builds extension knowledge-representation model combined with qualitative (element extension, etc) and quantitative (correlative function, etc). Rhombus thought model is analyzed in the paper, and it is also applied into the design of cleaner. Then, utilizing the fuzzy matter-element analysis, the paper builds multi-objective optimization model of the mechanical product scheme, and it brings out a fuzzy matter-element optimization method. Aimed to the problem of multi-object optimization, the paper uses particle swarm optimization to solve it. It raises a new improved method, and presents the solving process of fuzzy multi-objective optimization with the MAPSO. By comparing with PSO and APSO, the higher executive efficiency of it appears clearly. The paper brings the multi-objective fuzzy matter-element optimization that is based on particle swarm optimization . into the optimization design of mechanic transmission scheme, and discusses the operations such as particle-representation, fitness-computation and particle-update. The example proved the...
