Piezoelectric actuator have a prominent role in achieving highprecision, short response time and large displacement precise actuating because ofits advantage such as short response time, large displacement, little volume, and simplestructure etc.The primary work in this thesis is design and research on a new type circumrotatestepping actuator driven by PMA (piezoelectric multilayer actuator). It consists ofseveral parts; the details are described as follows:1. The basic principle of piezoelectric ceramic and piezoelectric actuatorDiscuss the basic principle of piezoelectric ceramic and kinds of piezoelectricactuator for rationally design the driver of precise actuator. It supplied theoreticaldependence to the selection of piezoelectric multilayer actuator and the design ofprecise actuator.2. Design of Circumrotate Stepping Actuator driven by PMA.Analyze ordinary structure of flexible hinge and choose a appropriate one. Thenprovide the account measure of firmness and analyze possible distortion.Design a circumrotate stepping actuator using non-oil lubricate axletree and singleorientation clamping. In PMA tighting a self-lock wedge is used. In designation ofPMA actuator force diversion, I introduce a parallel board instead of flexible hinge.The design is proved feasible by calculation and experiment.3.
