With the development of infrastructure construction in China, the stability of soil slope has become a very important mater. It involves in many soil slope stabile fields,such as soft base of highway, building foundation, embankment slope and base of railroad.If the slope of highway is not stable, it can bury roads, break off traffic. In some case, the buried highway can not be used forever, which will cause enormous economic losing. It is necessary to study the stability of highway slope and the examine method. Of course, the stability of soil slope is very important in the field of railroad, water conservancy, city planning, civil engineering and mining. People have made a great efforts to search after the stability of soil slope in order to find the economic and safe way in the construction. The displacement examining is one of the key technics in studying and preventing soil slope sliding. Through measuring, people can find the characteristics of sliding displacement. By this way, we can forecast sliding boundary, scale and starting time and criticality, so as to take corresponding steps to lighten or even avoid the economic losing in the slope sliding.According to the measure result, we can also make sure the exact place and forms of slope sliding, which will be the essential data in the design of project. Inclinometer is a kind of a precision instrument., which has been widely used in civil engineering and mining project. It can be used to observe debris dams, levees, soil slope, building foundation, underground building and railroad, harbor , highway, water conservancy projects both within China and in the world.The horizontal displacements of groundwork ,which are measured by observing lateral displacements and obliquity of different soil layers, can be used to examine the stability and lateral displacements of different soil layers. It can also show the changes of additional stress in soil.As to the displacement measure in the side of slope rock, we usually choose a place, 50 m deep from the surface of rock, as the stable point. After an interval of 0.5m to1.0m, the inclination changes of rock are measured, so the horizontal displacements of groundwork can be gotten by calculating those data. By this way, the movement of deep rock and slope of rock can be known. Once there is any abnormal, the efficient steps can be taken beforehand. (50m)Inclinometer is a useful instrument in the horizontal displacements and distortion measure within soil and rock. With the same principal, inclinometer can also be used in the check of horizontal displacements and inclination in temporary and permanent underground projects, such as piles, continue walls and sink wells. With the development of computer and the technology of optics, electronics and sensor, the inclinometer technology will have a bright future in the 21st century, To meet the need of measuring in the construction of rock and civil engineering, and relevant infrastructure, DGT-1 inclinometer was designed and manufactured in our group, which is a integrated instrument of electronic technology and machine. Auto-measure method, real-time control technology and new electron elements are adopted in DGT-1 inclinometer.The research contents and innovation are briefly illustrated as follows: 1 ) By using advanced high-precise, good in the anti-vibration and anti-disturb, high level credible, durable electronic components, inclinometer can fulfill the appointment of measuring data, measure automatically and momentarily. And the wireless transmitter and receiver are adopted in inclinometer. 2)The DC motor can be controlled positively and negatively, so it is very convenient to increase and decrease the voltage of motor according to the length of measurement. 3)The mechanical part can heighten and lower the cable automatically or artificially.4)Because of the combination of computer and inclinometer, the received data can be analyzed and processed accurately and automatically. singlechip system is used to measure, control and intelligently show the measure results. This dissertation has illustrated the study and development of new modal auto-inclinometer (DGT-1) entirely and systemically. In the first part of dissertation, the purpose of study and existing techniques and developing outlook both in China and in the world were introduced, and the working methods and structure of inclinometer were illustrated. In the next part of dissertation, the design of hardware and software of auto-inclinometer was discussed. The main part of DGT-1 auto-inclinometer is servo-accelerator of quartz flexibility as its sense component, which includes receiver, cable, DC motor, revolving encoder, embedded measure tube, hardware and software. The design of hardware involves the design of mainboard and transmit-board circuit. The mainboard includes the receive of wireless signal and the transform voltage, control center of singlechip 89C51, restoration measure and control, serial real-time clock, signal storage and the design of power. In transmit-board circuit, A/D converter, 2051 singlechip control, stimuli generator and DC/DC transformer were designed. The design of hardware includes control panel, which has three parts: initializing the measure data, motor control and LCD. VB6.0 language is used to deal with the gathered data, and assembly language is used in singlechip programming, which includes the module of appointment and control of measuring data, the module of motor control and the module of data collection and signal transmit. At the last part of dissertation, the assemblage and debugging method of auto-inclinometer were introduced.DGT-1 auto-inclinometer can be used in the data collection auto-measure instrument in rock and civil engineering with the merit of high speed processing, high precision, high level anti-vibration and good at anti-jamming.
