This work mainly studies the application of a kind of polymer gradient refractive index(GRIN)micro-sphere-lens fabricated by suspension diffusion co-polymerization method on dispersion material.GRIN micro-sphere is a new-type optical element, its optical function is mainly achieved by the inhomogeneous reflective index distribution of the medium.It has such advantages—small volume,short optical path,lightness in weight, easiness in producing by wholesale,etc.It has great potentialities in such fields as micro-optics,integrated optics and optics communication.First ,we introduce the concept of technology of hidden from view and the recent situation of it,then point out that technology on video frequency is mentioned very little,and dispersion of GRIN is a way to realize it.Furthermore two suitable monomers were chosen to produce such kind of GRIN polymer micro-spheres by suspension diffusion co-polymerization method.Next, the refractive index distribution curve and other optic parameters of the micro-lens were measured.On the basis of that according to basic theory of spherical symmetry GRIN optics and the rigorous computation of light tracking, the best technical parameters were obtained .Main contents as followed:Chapter 1 and Chapter 2. Simply introduce the concept of technology of hidden from view and the recent situation of it, the fabrication of traditional glass and the possibility of the application of GRIN polymer micro-sphere on dispersion.Chapter 3. Formulate the GRIN optics and the polymer GRIN materials , then introduce the basic theory of spherical symmetry GRIN medium.Chapter 4. Elaborate the theoretics of making polymer "GRIN micro-lens by means of suspension-diffusion-copolymerization and the measurement of the common optics parameter of the medium lens, such as light passing index, no-sphericityand so on,then analyze those results and make adveises on how to improve.Chapter 5. First analyze the effect of dispersion on the MAXWELL fisheyes.then based on the measures refractive index distribution curve, according as the theoreticalmodel of light transmission in the GRIN medium, using quadrivakent Runge-Kutte method to carry the light tracking, we studied dispersion of GRIN polymer micro-sphere and its application and concluded the best conditions to get good result.Chapter 6. Sum up the achievements we made, the problems still existing and the work we should do in the future.
