In recent years, with the development of computer graphics, visual technology, software engineering, hardware design and control engineering, the application of the visual simulation technology is becoming more and more extensive. It greatly enhances the exchange mode between man and computer. Visual simulation assembly technology is not only one important part of the visual manufacture technology(VMT), but also one of the key factors of the VMT.Visual simulation assembly design is a very important step of the design of the product. It brings numerous economic benefits for our enterprises, for example, it enhances the quality and reliability of the products, reduces the production costs and lessens the stock.The design and key technology of the visual assembly is discussed in this dissertation, including the three-dimension modeling of the products, assembly information, the assembly layout, the collision check and inspection technology and the synthetic evaluation of the manufacturing assembly, and etc. This dissertation studies, in detail, the problem of restriction of the assembly layout, and with the application of three-dimensional position movement matrix of the parts and the matrix and of the transformation problem space freedom degree, it also discusses the problems of disassembly and installation of the parts. The software Pro/E used in this dissertation is different from the former three-dimensional modeling software. Pro/E is a parameterized modeling software based on the character of the parts. With Pro/E software, it is convenient to alter some basic characteristic of the machinery parts. VRML provides a new chance for the parallel and cooperated designing with its excellent character of easy transmission. With VRML and the Java language, this dissertation constructs the alternant environment of the virtual assembly for the purpose of dynamic installation and creation of the virtual sample machine. This dissertation also takes the purifier as an example to realize the virtual assembly of the products.
