Cable Structures have been widely used in large-span steel structures for its advantage of high efficiency in material utilize and novelty in shaping. In such structures, a well-designed cable anchor joints is very necessary to properly perform the function of the pre-stressed system. In this paper, a digital simulation on cable anchor joints experiment is conducted to reappear the mechanical properties and laws showed in the joint. Also, correlative factors in the ultimate bearing capacity of this joint are discussed, and an optimal design on processing and manufacturing is made for reference to the joints' application in engineering.On the basis of wide-range collection and study on the issues about contact and friction problems, typical analytic method and numerical analysis method used in solving contact and friction problems are concluded; and mechanical models and finite element models applied in this issue are discussed. The highly non-linear characteristic of elastic-plastic contact problem also has been analyzed in this paper.Then, this paper shows a finished cable anchor joint experiment and analyzes the phenomena and result got from it, gives the influence factor of joint's anchor effects: plasticity of the bush, initial gap between bush and cable, pressurization way and bush thickness.In order to prove the experiment course, and deepen research to this joint, a digital simulation has been conducted with analysis software ANSYS, and the influence factors have been verified through it. ANSYS is a large-scale general finite element analysis software, which can apply industry calculate and scientific research extensively. This text briefly introduces relevant factors of realization the simulation in ANSYS technological environment.Subsequently, the influence factors are sorted and optimal suggestions are given with the outcome and conclusion of numerical modeling.Finally , the conclusion of this paper are drawn on the foundation of study put forward: on the premise of push strength and mould form without changing, the gap takes the most remarkable effect on the joints' ultimate bearing capacity, and bush thickness and position of the model take second place.
