With the economy of our country developing fast, automobile is becoming popular as a kind of transportation, and the total of vehicles increases fleetly.at the same time, the condition of traffic be improved greatly, especially, with lots of freeways built and put up to use, the speed of vehicles are getting more fast, this lead to such a result that there are many traffic accidents in our country. As the statistics show, from the traffic administration bureau of Ministry of Public Security, there are nearly 600,000 traffic accidents that happened in our country in 2004, the death toll incurred because of traffic accident is nearly 100,000, over 450,000 people are injured, the direct economic losses are up to 27. 700 million yuan. So, it's becoming a focus in the world that how to develope the research on vehicle safety, improve the design of the structure of cars,etc. the research on security of cars began in 1960s in some developed countries such as America,Germany, etc.the same research began in 1990s in China. The security of the automobile includes the initiative security and passive security. Passive security is the ability avoiding passengers being injured when collision takes place. Passive security is more important to protect passenger life than initiative security. At present, there are two main methods to study the automobile security— real automobile collision and computer simulation.automobile collision is the general method in developed countries. This method can reproduce the real collision course of the automobile in the traffic accident, however, it is a destructive test and needs the large test site and costs most. With the development of technology of the computer and calculation mechanics, computer simulation becomes the main study method of the security of the automobile. This method costs lower and has shorter corresponding research cycle, and its result of calculation can be used for the structural design of the automobile directly. But the computer simulation must be set up on the foundation of the test data from the test of the automobile collision, and various kinds of important parameters can only be adjusted by the test.According to real automobile collision experimental study and computer simulationtechnology, the automobile simulation laboratory of our school draw lessons from other similar collision testing system at home and abroad, developing a kind of automobile simulation and collision test system by oneself. This test system has many advantages such as simple structure, low costs, adjusting conveniently and so on. And it can offer the basic collision data for computer simulation, so it offers the test system to study automobile accident, to estimate the damage of passengers, and to study the automobile dummy in collision.In the basis of recommending the domestic and international automobile collision test system, this paper puts forward the design of the test system for automobile collision, and provides the main structure of the laboratory bench; It sets up the dynamics model of the . pulley, and analyses the main parameters influencing the velocity or acceleration of the pulley; Using Kane-Huston's method of multi-rigid-body dynamics , it sets up the dynamics models of human body, The results of the paper can offer the theoretical foundation for designing and establishing the vehicle impact test system ,studying automobile security ,etc.
