Cesium is the main releasing heat result in radioactive waste liquid, because cesium half-life is relatively long, it is relatively great to endanger the human body, so seems particularly important to the treatment of the radioactive waste liquid containing cesium.Farinose titanium silicate sodium was synthesized by hydrothermal method. The adsorptive capacity of titanium silicate to Cs ion was studied, as shown by our experiments the best synthetic step of titanium silicate sodium as follows: After 3mL tetrabutylorthotitanate and 1mL tetraethoxysilane(TEOS) are mixed, join 3mol/L sodium hydroxide 4mL, a small amount of structural template and 0.5 mL isopropyl alcoholc, and get the white precipitate evenly. Transferred in a container, synthesized for 7 days in the container, the product has been washed many times with water and dried. The adsorptive capacity of titanium silicate sodium to Cs ion and the adsorptive effect of time, temperature, and acidity were studied. The adsorptive time is . relatively longer, adsorbed completely after 22 hours. The adsorptive amount is reduced with rising of temperature. The adsorptive capacity to Cs under different temperature terms shows that it accords with Freundlich equation mode. Under the extensive acidity condition of pH=1~7 and the high acidity condition of l-5mol/L H~+, the adsorptive capacity of titanium silicate sodium to Cs ion is good. As shown by our experiment the adsorptive capacity of titanium silicate to Cs ion reaches1.74mmol/g at 30 °C in lmol/L H+ solution, the distributive ratio is 6066. And at 4.0 mol/LH + solution, it keep about 1.5 mmol/g exchange capacity and more than 4000 distributive ratio. These are some other inorganic ion exchanger material can not reach. The good adsorptive capacities of titanium silicate sodium to Cs ion on the high acidity condition, making it have great value in dealing with the acid radioactive waste liquid. The adsorptive stability of titanium silicate sodium to the cesium was also studied by using K2CO3, KC1, NaCl, Mg2SO4, FeCb, etc. The experiment indicated that the adsorptive stability of titanium silicate sodium to the cesium is good. The radioactive Cs was adsorbed by titanium silicate sodium, and then solidified, that can fully showed the radiant stability, good anti-oxidant and advantage delayed in abilities of the inorganic ion exchange material, so it has good practical value. The adsorption capacity of titanium silicate sodium to K+, Mg2+, Fe3 +, etc is smaller than that to cesium ion. So titanium silicate sodium has higher alternatives to Cs, has application prospect of the separating and purification cesium.
