Nowadays, with the development of economy, the requirement of the energy resourceis much bigger than past time. So the requirement of rotary machines that supply industrywith energy resource is bigger than before. Research on safe and stable operating of rotarymachines is very important for production safely. Rotors cause the faults of rotarymachines mostly. Therefore, studying dynamical characters, understanding faults ofmechanism, and examining faults of rotary machines are very necessary. The coupling system of mechanical and electrical is a complex nonlinear system.Mechanical and Electrical Analytically Dynamics is an intersect subject that is made ofMechanics and Electrics mainly. It has properties of complex and nonlinear. According toMechanical and Electrical Analytically Dynamics the mathematical model of torsionalvibration of the fault operating generator set rotor system is established. The theoreticalanalyses are carried out. By means of the method of multiple scales for nonlinearoscillations several kinds of resonances of the single freedom and the double freedoms ofthe system are investigated. The first approximation solutions and theirs correspondingsteady-state solutions are obtained. The main results can be outlined as follows:1.Applying the method of multiple scales, the equation of the amplitude-frequencyresponse curves of the single freedoms torsional vibration of the fault operating crack rotorexcited by electromagnetism are obtained. The stability of the steady-state solution isanalyzed and the bifurcation set is obtained.2.Based on the method of multiple scales, double resonance of the doublefreedoms torsional vibration of the fault operating crack rotor excitedby electromagnetism under the different conditions are analyzed, including doubleresonance of the torsional vibration of the fault operating crack rotor excited byelectromagnetism, double resonances of the torsional vibration of generator set rotorsystem excited by eccentricity considering nonlinear elastic joint, double resonance of thetorsional vibration of generator set rotor system excited by parametric excitations andforced excitations. The influence of the amplitude-frequency response curves of thedifferent parameters is analyzed. The changes of machine parameter and electromagnetismparameter can make the system enter the resonance area. With changes of machineparameters and electromagnetism parameters, the amplitudes and resonance area ofresponse curves of the system will be changed. Some laws and phenomena are revealed. The conclusions provide a theoretical basis for solving the safe production, designing, andoperating of rotary machines.
