Recent years, people pay more attention to the problems such as atmospheric environment pollution and petroleum sources crisis. For protecting environment and saving energy sources, power battery industry of being represented by electric vehicle developed very quickly in all countries. The rapid development of power battery makes demands of its industrial capacity and product quality. For the development of Chinese power battery industry and putting it into international market competition, this paper, according to the features of power battery, presents the design of a digital power battery testing system, DBT-20 integrated control system of auto-testing and auto-sorting for power battery. The system is a new digital power battery testing system that uses TMS320LF2407 DSP as the core processor and adopts principal-subordinate structure, so it can adjust the output of constant current power by controlling digital pulse-width modulating (PWM) which outputs of DSP. The digital system is used for monitoring and controlling the performance parameters of power baetteries such as voltage, current, capacity and -â–³V of power battery timely during charge or discharge for them. It has such advantages as intelligence, good-management, high-dependability, and low-price etc characteristics. It can satisfy all test requirements, and especially it is appropriate for the large-scale test of power battery. This paper mainly recounts the research and design of a digital power battery testing system. The principle of battery testing, the structure and capability of the system are introduced particularly. It emphasizes the characteristics of TMS320LF2407, the hardware and software design of the digital control system etc. At the same time, we discuss the anti-jamming measure in the system, digital filter, Proportional-Integral-Differential (PID) arithmetic etc.
