Steel structure can apply more rapid development in recent years in our country, this kind of structure has spread greatly span with the characteristics of its good stress performance, less weight, good seismic performance, rapid construction, high level of industrialization, capable of recovery, helpful for environmental protection. Additionally, the material quality of steel structure is even, in accordance with mechanics assumption and to compare with other structures, its difference between experimental results and the theoretical calculation is very little. But, to compare with concrete structure, the components of steel structure in building structure are weak. Therefore development of steel structure of the analysis theory, especially stability theory, not only has theoretically meaning, and has important practical value. This paper applied advanced analysis theory-plasticity district theory to plane steel frame. Firstly, structure matrix and rigidity equation is established on the basis of plasticity district theory and the U.L. method. Secondly, to trail iteration route conveniently this paper adopts the arch method. At last, four examples in this paper show plastic district theory and the program are accurate method and efficient tool on the stability analysis of structure. Finally the program is used to analyze plane steel frame. With a door rigid frame as example, the influence is analyzed of elasticity, plasticity and different initial bending on stability of the frame respectively. As a result, plasticity weakens heavily and initial bending aggravates this kind of tendency; when considering plasticity, the influence of initial bending is still much more than not considering the influence that plasticity gives the stability of rigid frame. In all it is shown that the plasticity district theory adopted by this paper because of its plasticity that has considered material fully development, thus is more accurate advanced analysis method than other stability analysis methods.
