With the development of city viaduct track traffic and the increase of train speed in China, people have began to give more and more concern to the influence of vibration induced by viaduct track system to around environment. Therefore, in order to give city traffic a convenience and not to influence the track surroundings, it is quite necessary to take measures to alleviate and isolate the ill vibration. Before the correct and appropriate measures of alleviating and isolating the vibration are put forward, the mechanism of vibration generation, its propagation rules and influence factors should be understood. The vibration waves that are generated by the interaction between wheels and track will propagate to soil and the surrounding areas through piers, which can cause the second vibration on buildings. Based on the above analyses, the main ideas of this paper include the foliowings:1, Firstly, the reaction forces of viaduct bridge piers are calculated. Then the influence of axle space between and bridge length on the reaction force is researched. Though this working condition can not exit in practice, it still has its values: first, it is the basis of chapter three; second, this analyzes offer a feasible method for vibration alleviation and vibration isolation.2, Based on the concerned design theories of vibration isolation by barriers and integrated with Wu Han viaduct track traffic systems, the calculation of vibration in the foundation soil has been carried out by using FEM after adopting barriers. The dynamic displacement, velocity, acceleration and vibration level are acquired in the foundation soil both before and after adopting different barriers. The methods of barrier vibration isolation offered in this paper may be adopted when the environmental vibration exceeds the normal levels or some important buildings need protection. In the end, the content of this paper has been summarized and some problems, which need further study, have been proposed.
