The digital watermarking technology has been walking out of the lab into the hall of application as the guardian of the intellectual property right. However the new high-tech focuses merely on the still image, A\V etc. ignorant of the protection of the mechanical drawings, which of course deserves anti-pirate as any other intellectual productions.This paper proposes 2 availabilities to meet this demand. In the first algorithm, a black-white image is embedded into a AutoCAD drawing based on the deep exploitation of the drawing formula and ingenious programming by means of ObjectARX together with the Visual C++. The second one instance the digital signature concept by employing a meaningful bit series to mix into the parameters of the mechanical drawing entities.These methods prove to be robust against the attacks such as translation, rotation, scaling, minor adding and deleting of drawing entities while being unobtrusive. These methods are compatible with the standard of the digital watermarking technology system on the building for its selection of watermark or its series.Besides, the paper analyzes the feasibility of other 2 algorithms, i.e. the so-called naught and the frequency-domain transformation digital watermarking technologies. To end the article, a suggestion to further study about the mixture of the watermark technique and the protection of mechanical drawings is put forward, hopefully helpful to those who bend on this obscure academic corner.
