In the article," some simple CCD acknowledge has been given. At the beginning of the description, the CCDS development of history in the field of astronomy observation is given, in which there is a new kind of device that is L3CCD (low light level CCD). Through comparing with previous CCDs and Photomultiplier Tube in astronomy observation, it is showed that there is a very good promise to use L3CCD in astronomy observation. And some international astronomic institutes have done some research study and have some conclusions. So it is important to research our own L3CCD camera.And then the driving system of L3CCD camera designed by Yunnan Observatory CAS lab. Optics & Electronics is described, and some process of output is simply given. And the description consists of hardware system and software system. In the hardware system, the core controller that is CPLD device and the important signal processor that is a 12 bits pipeline ADC are researched in detail, and the outer circuit of the core is analyzed. In the software system, the timing of CCD, ADC and transferring system are analyzed in detail.At last, after testing in Lab. and comparing with the anticipating waveform, some conclusions are drawn.
