Based on the advantages and disadvantages of stress — strain theories and computational methods for Concrete Faced Rockfill Dam(CFRD) applied widely in engineering practices at present, combining with the Shuibuya Concrete Faced Rockfill Dam which is the highest CFRD in the world, applying the most popular theories and computational methods in projects at present, this paper carries out the numerical analysis research of influence factors of static and seismic response by means of 3D FEM.The main research works are as follows:1.Collect and arrange the materials of the development course and the current situation of CFRD both at home and abroad, summarize rock fill material, faced concrete, seam and the numerical computational method and model of CFRD, including the research actuality of rock fill rheology.2.In order to predict the stress deformation characteristics of CFRD— a mixture structure system logically, evaluate and analyze the main mathematics and mechanics model of finite element stress—strain analysis from the theory and application points of view, summarize the theory achievement, including multi-model.3.Complete several finite element post-processes of faced rock-fill dam. Select Duncan E-B model and elasto-plastic hyperbolic model to carry on static calculation of 3D FEM for Shuibuya CFRD, contrast and analyze the main results of stress and strain, prove the technical feasibility .4.Complete the finite element procedure of conversion between epoch curve and reaction curve of earthquake acceleration. Discuss the influence of seismic wave spectral characteristics and seismic wave input method to the earthquake response of Shuibuya CFRD, obtain the dynamic displacement of the dam body, panel dynamic displacement and dynamic stress. Analysis indicates that the regularity of the calculation results of several kinds of schemes is unanimous, however, there are certain differences of quantity value and part distribute.5.Taking Shuibuya CFRD as an example, calculate the seismic wave spectralcharacteristics and the seismic wave input method, calculate the seismic permanence deformation of remnants strain and shearing force strain of rock fill. Contrast and analyze the characteristics of dynamical response and the seismic permanence deformation by different seismic wave input methods.
