ANSYS is one of the most famous finite element software, and it includes strong solver, preprocessor and postprocessor. ANSYS can solve complex and complicated engineering problem. However, as a general finite element software, ANSYS is not very well in specialized field. And, bridges have many specific characteristics. So, developing a specialized program module, which can be applied in the structural analysis of bridges in second-development environments provided by ANSYS, has become a impending need in bridges analysis. On the basis of the finite element analysis summarization of structural analysis of Cable-stayed bridge, this paper used APDL, UIDL, UPFS and VC to develop a specialized program module that can be applied in the structural analysis of Cable-stayed bridges. The program module can set up Cable-stayed bridges model automatically based on the inputed parameter. I analyzed a Cable-stayed bridge built by this program module, and the result showed that this specialized program module is correct and practicable. I also explored and summarized basic methods and procedures. All of these can provide benefits for ANSYS second-development work in the future.
