The power system module(PSM) is the kernel module of the dispatcher training simulator. Beginning from mathematical modeling, the PSM constructs the computing model of the state estimating by analyzing the electric network topologically. State estimating module provides the entry for all data in the PSM, plays functions of getting rid of large error, improving precision and supplementing pseudo-measure. In this paper, the mathematical modeling, the topological analysis and state estimating of the power system are studied in sequence. Firstly, the theory and method of the modeling are researched and discussed, and the suitable component & network model of the power system are set up. Secondly, the basic principal of electric network topology is described. The depth-first network topological algorithm is proved to be more easy to program and have a faster computing speed by studying and comparing the quality of the network topological algorithms(adjacency matrix , tree searching) according to the two describing methods of electric network. The specific implementation procedure of Nanyang Power System based on depth-first topology and the practical effect are given. Thirdly, the state estimating theory of the power system is studied. Expounding the difference between basic state estimating algorithm and anti-error estimating algorithm, the theory of power system state estimating based on weight function is put forward, which can gain the optimization estimation on the condition of containing bad data, and the detailed implement steps are proposed. With the specific instance, the anti-error estimating effect in the case of normal quality and having bad data is analyzed. At last, the summarization of this paper is given, and the directions waiting to be studied further are pointed out.
