The Research Of Ks Value Of Lateral Loading Pile In The Clay Of Lower Covering

With the development of offshore engineering, pile foundation had been widely used in the offshore platform, port pier, etc. Pile foundation should not only bear axial loading but also bear lateral loading. The mechanism of pile and earth is very complex under lateral loading. To meet the needs of project design, it is necessary to study on the calculation method and the working properties of pile foundation under lateral load role.The calculation methods of laterally loaded piles in domestic and international were discussed, and interaction theory between pile and soil and the factors influencing Ks value were lucubrated in the paper. In combination with the model test of lateral load pile, the distributing disciplinarian of Ks value and the chosen of related parameters were researched.The moments and displacements of piles under different lateral loading were noted and analyzed in the test. The results showed that the Ks values increased with the pile's diameter and distance from calculation place to the ground and decreased when the lateral loading increased. So the experience formula of Ks of single pile under lateral load role was put forward. By comparison, the value of moments and displacements calculated by the formula well agree with actual measurement.
