Research On The Strength And Stability Of Hoist Drums

This thesis applied the elastic contact problem of the steel cable and the hoist drum ,combined the calculation method on the intention of mine lifter and improved it, proposed the calculation means of the hoist drum. After considering the grooves'influence to the bearing ability of the hoist drum , the paper established finite element model for the hoist drum by ANSYS software , analyzed the distributing rule of stress of the smooth drum and the grooved drum under the same load .The results proved that the grooves took part in the bearing ,could verify the distributing rule of drum stress and reduce the stress of drum wall . The ordinary method on stability check of the hoist drum is very conservative , by analyzing the experimental model on the drum, the new theoretical formula in this dissertation is fitted to .The study provides some referential bases for the design of hoist drums .
