| From the view of mechanics, using the modern mechanical principles and the interrelated theories and methods of mechanical design, this paper firstly analyzes the machine composings and locomotion principle of crossbow, thereby, analyses the forces, checks the intensity, computes the performance dimensions in reverse, analyses the friction self-locking performance, the operation shoot process, the collimation principle and range, and studies the other problems for the all movable components of crossbow. Then the paper sets up their own study models. Secondly, analyses and summarizes a mass of crossbow information, distills the identification characteristics of crossbow and it's accessories, according to the performance analysis results of mechanics, the paper designs the crossbow information database, exploits the function modules of the interrelated programmes, realizes the digital management of crossbow information, and sets up the browsing and searching relation of crossbow database and the corresponding crossbow pictures. Thirdly, the curve composing characteristics of WangShan, GouXin, XuanDao and the other components are studied, and the programme function modules of curve fitting for the key parts of crossbow. Lastly, based on the Windows system, using the Object Oriented Visual Basic6.0, the paper developes the applied software system of crossbow performance analysis and information management.The paper's investigation and the interrelated models'establishment is aspiring for studying the mechanical design and manufacture technology level and understanding the science, technology and culture in ancientry of our country, the research results is also good for supplementing and perfecting the interrelated fields'study of mechanical engineering history of our country. At the same time, the ways and means of this paper may be used for reference for the other cultural relic studies, in order to form the new theory system which using technology to observe and study cultural relic.
