| In order to find out the possibilities of new type of transparent materials for solarcollector cover and building energy-saving window in place of the ordinary glassmaterials, the optical and thermal properties of compound organic materials and planevacuum glazing are measured and compared in this paper.Vacuum glazing consists of two glass sheets with a narrow internal evacuatedspace. Because of its excellent transparent insulating heat and voice properties, vacuum glazing has the distinct applicable prospect. The thermal performance of thesolar collector with compound organic material and plane vacuum glazing as cover ismeasured experimentally. The relations of the temperature increasing rate of thecollector in steady lamp and sunning condition with solar intensity are presented inthe paper. The temperature difference of internal and external surfaces and thethermal insulating properties of the vacuum glazing are investigated also. Theexperimental results are compared with that conventional double glazing. The paper discusses applying simple simulator to simulate the different structuralsolar collector, test data can be used to approximately confirm the thermal propertiesexperimental method and calculating formula of the specified the solar collector;meanwhile the absorptivity of the collector absorber measured utilizing simplesimulator can more actually reflect the absorber's status in use and moreadvantageously evaluate thermal performance of the collector. |
