Reinforced concrete structure recovery services in harbor dock require that theconstruction is convenient and quick, the use of the large-scale construction machineis avoided, at the same time, the structure is used in the long run as the permanentconstruction as long as it is reinforced simply after war. A new type steel-concretecomposite construction, namely, the steel planet section steel-concrete composite slabis presented in this paper. The effects of the different types of section steel on themechanical capabilities of the steel-concrete composite slabs are discussed. Based onthe experiment, the deflection capacity and normal section strength of such compositeslabs are analyzed. The tests for nine steel planet section steel-concrete composite slabs have beenperformed. The effects of the different types of section steel, the number of pins andthe thickness of composite slabs on the deflection and load carrying capacity of thecomposite slabs.Nonlinear finite element method is applied to calculate the steel planet sectionsteel-concrete composite slabs by the software of ANSYS. Comparisons ofexperimental and finite element analysis results are presented. Based on the different calculated formulas, the method for calculation of thedeflection of the steel planet section steel-concrete composite slabs are discussed, aswell as, the formula for the calculation of the limit bearing capacity of such structureis provided also. The theoretical and finite element analysis results have a goodagreement with those tests.
