As a new structural system, composite wallboard has a promising outlook inreplace of masonry structure. At present, researches on the composite wallboardmainly focus on the anti-seismic performances and failure characters of testwallboard, but the dynamic response in the action of earthquake of real structural hasnot been researched. And to measure and analyze the dynamic behavior of this newstructure becomes the foundation for anti-seismic research. So the settle of earthquakeresistance is the key of the popularization of the composite wallboard structure.First, parameters of dynamic characteristics were obtained by the dynamic testfor an experimental structure of composite wallboard. And a simple method whichsuits modeling of SATWE, a popular widely used analysis program in the field ofengineering, was brought out to establishing the finite element model of experimentalstructure.Secondly, according to this method, the finite element analysis (FEA) for theexperimental structure by mode-superposition response spectrum method anddynamic time-historical analysis indicated that the results of practical measurementabout the fundamental modal accorded with the computational results basically andthe anti-seismic capability of this structure was proved to be better than the normallyshear-wall structure by seismic response analysis. So, it is said that the equivalentmodel has fine reliability to simulate the true structure for engineering applications.Finally, for the sake of the request of engineering design, Section design anddetailing of structure of composite wallboard were studied. It indicates that thecomputational results of the equivalent model by SATWE could be used in the designof the section of the composite wallboard component.
