The new turbofan jet is now being developed by our country as a new regional jet, in order to esure it whether or not satisfy navigate regulation of structures and the design life, it is necessary to evaluate damage tolerance of the important structure in aircraft structyre. Because in new turbofan jet structure design, new type structures are adopted, the new type structure's damage tolerance property has not been studied formerly, it is very nessasery to study the new type structure. In this paper, related to the practical engineering, damage tolerance methology and property of crack mechanics have been studied, which provided methology and data to damage tolarence design, and provide support for strutrue selection. With the analysis of former research, firstly, give out the method and flow chat of damage tolerance evaluate for the new type structure. Secondly, calculate the stress intensy factor of the new type structure's crack growth using ANSYS software, write programe to calculate crack growth and residual strength, and interpose programe for calculate stress intensity factor, and used the writing programe calculate the crack growth life and residual strength, via contrast the result with the origin structure calculate result, get out the conclusion of damage tolerance property for the new turbofan jet. At last, studied crack kining in the new type structure. For the new turbofan jet adopt the new type structure's damage tolerance providing technical base. The research work has the important academic and engineering merit for new type panel structure of turbofan jet. and it combine the fracture mechanics and the damage tolerance evaluate practice of new wing panel turbofan jet.
